The family operated restaurant has the most pleasant vibe in Pyeongchang and offers a range of traditional Korean food. The name ‘Gohyangi Yagi’ (고량이야기) translates to ‘Hometown story’ and I’m positive the recipes served here date back generations in this family. Serving a variety of Korean BBQ dishes and soups their entire menu is translated for visiting travellers. Enjoy!

This is a spacious Korean BBQ location that serves up the standard BBQ dishes as well as some others that are a little more adventurous. They also offer a series if iron skillet and stone hot pot meals. Ask for ‘Ohsam Bulgogi’ (오삼볼고기) to try the squid and pork belly iron fired dish or ‘Hangtaegui Jongshik’ (항태구이정식) for a grilled pollack version. The full menu and BBQ options are listed on their menu in English. Enjoy!

Korean BBQ in a chicken style! Don’t fear the mixing of raw chicken and raw veg as its cooked right at your table! Spicy and mixed with soft rice cakes, cabbage, then the finished mixture is wrapped in lettuce or sesame leaf before you stuff it in your mouth! You may make a funny face trying to get it all in ^^ Ask for regular ‘Dalk galbi’ (닭갈비) or ‘Chi jeu dalk galbi’ (치즈닭갈비) for a cheesy version. Ask for ‘Chi jeu Doek’ (치즈떡) for cheese stuffed rice cakes.
